Mittsy? Please Shut Up ... You're Still An Out-Of-Work Asshat

With nothing better to do, Mitt Romney is talking again and it kinda sounds like he might run for president again even though he swore to us, after being trounced twice in the last eight years, that he wouldn’t. But then no one flip-flops like Our Man Mittsy.

In a conversation with David Gregory on Meet the Press this morning, Mittsy was asked about marriage equality and the changes in various states:
"Well I think marriage is a relationship between a man and a woman. And I think the ideal setting for raising a child is in a setting where there is a father and a mother. Now there are many other different settings that children are raised in and people have the right to live life as they want to. But I think that marriage should be defined in the way that it has been defined for several thousand years. And if gay couples want to live together then that's fine as well. That's their right."
Blibetty-blah-blay-blue it’s all about the children. But Mittsy says nothing about removing children from the homes of single parents who obviously can’t be parents because they have no opposite-sex spouse; and he says nothing about denying marriage to older men and women who are past the reproductive age, or of couples who wish to marry but choose not to procreate.

Dick.

And, when asked if he thinks marriage equality is going to have a negative impact on society Mittsy declared:
"Oh I think it's going to take a long, long time to determine whether having gay marriage will make it less likely for kids to be raised in settings where there's a mom and a dad. That's not gonna happen overnight. It's something which happens over generations in fact and again, I think the ideal setting is where there's a mom and dad that can invest their time and their resources in supporting the development of a child."
Blibetty-blah-blay-blue he’s still talking about children! If you're so worried about children, Mittsy, become a child advocate and shut up about everything else. But quit using children as a weapon against the idea of same-sex marriage.

And then, when asked if he thinks Republicans are losing on the marriage issue, Romney said:
"I don't think you have to worry about who wins or who loses a particular fight. I think you stand for various principles. You communicate those to the American people and they either support those or not. Sometimes, if something is lost why then you move on to the next issue. You wish you'd have won that one. But you move on. I think that in this case it's an issue that people continue to find relevant and important and it's something that is being considered in various states around the country. I do believe that it's better decided by people than by the courts."
Mittsy, of course you worry about winning and losing, though, for you, it’s mostly losing. I mean, how else do we explain your flip-flopping on the issues? it's because you wanted to win and changed your opinion to suit your campaign. You are out of step, out of time, and grasping at straws to try and somehow remain relevant in the political discourse of this country when we have made it clear more than once that we don’t want you anywhere near the White.

Finally, because you know he’s worried about Hillary Clinton running, Mittsy slammed Bill Clinton over the Monica Lewinsky scandal:
"He embarrassed the nation. He breached his responsibility, I think, as an adult and as a leader in his relationship. And I think that’s very unfortunate.”
I think it’s unfortunate that the GOP and it’s lapdogs like Mittsy want to claim that Hillary Clinton can’t be President because her husband had an affair twenty years ago.

How stupid are they?

Don’t answer, it’s a rhetorical question.

  2. I can't say that I am surprised by this, except that the news media sought him out for an interview at all.

Seriously, Mitt Romney is a Friday Turd at a Saturday Market.

  4. A leader in his relationship? I don't even know what that's supposed to mean, but it sounds creepily paternalistic.

Does Mittens really think anyone cares what he has to say on any subject? Who's sticking a microphone into the dustbin of history to record his thoughts?

  5. Is it me or does what Romney says fail to make sense? It's meaningless.
